The Buddha Machine Sessions

These 6 pieces were written and performed on eurorack around the Buddah Machine ambient sound toy. You can watch the performances here.

The Buddha Machine is a small plastic audio player pre-loaded with a series of looping, low-fi ambient soundscapes. I've had mine for over 10 years and decided to run it through modular effects as the seed for a full modular performance. Each performance starts with a raw Buddha Machine loop, which is sampled into Instruo Arbhar, and then doused with reverb and Hologram Microcosm. The rest of the performance is built around that.
